EXCERPT From Surrendering to Sweet Serenity

The weary writer has langered too long from
the quill that quakes attempting
to express the rambling plummeting expressions of the soul.
Like hummingbird wings moving
to achieve buoyancy.
Like a frightened child shuddering in the dark
almost frozen with indecisiveness.
As a wanderer lost in a maze of tunnels with
each having its own experience…
Almost crushed and bruised by the weight of this juncture.
Eyes streaming with tears only visible from within.
Heart dashed and torn on the
jagged gnarled edges of life.
The mind is
dazed and weary.
Oh to drift in a flowing field
of daffodils and daisies.
Count soft marshmallow clouds chasing about.
But a weariness slithers silhouetted in
the dark recesses of the mind.
A silent cry lodges in the throat with
shoulders sloughing in sighs.
Were is the music of melodies.
Burning bruised eyes.

EXCERPT
Hands on mirror looking within.
Deep bottomless souls reeling thorough forever.
No top bottom or sides.
Colors, but not colors.
All sounds, but silence.
Softly slowly fingertips, eyes & lips trace and retrace
High and low, in and out ever mysterious hidden
facet of the diamonds.
Cobwebs and dust are gingerly smoothed aside.
Brilliance shines from within at
the new found lust of life.
Sighs, murmurs, gasps flowing as the soul falls
effortlessly head long into itself…
Glistening satin skin shines with excitement.
Palms throb, heart beat, breathe strains to flow smoothly,
but catches, then rushes out.
Back arched to attempt equilibrium in this
state of weightless frenzy.
Cries of surrender lay buried deep within.
Pleasure attached to such hidden pain.
Tears flow as a shudder is heard in the havens --- release.
Flames leaping higher and higher consuming
what little shreds of sanity are left.
Chills sweep in wild waves over every pore.
Moisture glistening on lips and eyes…
No words can describe the space,
the beingness or the moment … ah.
